This was our 4th tour with Howzat and it gets better every time. The trip to Namibia between tests was completely different to anything we’ve ever done before and everyone who went thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it was a superbly organised tour we didn’t feel any obligation to do things we didn’t want to. The Tour Managers gave us plenty of space to do our own things but we knew they were there and very accessible and efficient if we did need anything. We will definitely be using Howzat Travel again.

What an amazing 3 weeks over Christmas and the New Year in South Africa. As a family, we have had the real privilege over the last 6 years to travel to Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa with Howzat and we are often asked which was the best trip – the reality is that all have been fantastic with unique features and again this was no exception. Each of the five segments of this trip were exceptional: Christmas at the superb Tshukudu Bush Lodge with exciting game drives got the trip off to a great start; although ending in defeat the Centurion test was absorbing with a good atmosphere generated by the home crowd; New Year’s Eve in Cape Town and visiting the beautiful wine regions of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek set us up perfectly for the 2nd test; the Newlands test will live long in the memory with a great 5 days and securing the first win there in 63 years in that dramatic final session where taking 5 wickets looked unlikely at tea – celebrations continued with an excellent farewell dinner with Aggers and Boycott; our tour then concluded with a relaxing drive along the picturesque Garden Route interspersed with interesting stop-offs. As we have always found, Howzat input and assistance building the schedule was first class, with then pro-active on-the-ground support and advice available throughout the trip. The prospect of future Howzat tours watching a young, improving England cricket team is very exciting!

This was our first cricket tour and our first with Howzat Travel. Can I say how much we enjoyed ourselves; the organisation behind the scenes, the quality of hotels and transfers, and the tour hosts were all first class, not to mention the enthusiasm of our fellow cricket fans. It was also a splendid idea to share the hotel in Durban with both the SA and England teams, and the match officials but I didn’t see anybody speak to the latter! It is always difficult to pick out individuals for praise because I know every team member is required to produce success. However, it would be remiss of me to fail to highlight the excellent support we received from David, Des and Carl back in the UK when a crisis arose at home that required my wife to return home on the evening of Saturday 8th February. With just a few hours notice the guys were able to find a flight back to the UK with BA; there is no finer phrase at such a time as “just leave it with me”. I am pleased to say that the crisis had a happy ending.

Good advice throughout the tour was always on noticeboards and reinforced by spoken word. Despite the large numbers and therefore what must have a complicated tour to organize and run there were no noticeable problems. Any that did occur were dealt with quietly and only came to light by small talk. Throughout the tour even when numbers were very high the tour staff were always on the ball and would pass the time of day with everybody.

Howzat Travel “deliver” what they promise and your Tour Managers are great ambassadors for the company. The sightseeing trip to Namibia exceeded our expectations in all aspects, and we appreciated the great amount of flexibility when it was needed during rain delays in PE taking people back to the hotels early if they wanted to go.

This was our third tour with Howzat Travel which certainly lived up to our two previous superb experiences. We thoroughly enjoyed The Newlands Traveller Tour in Cape Town followed by the excellent Hazyview & Kruger Park experience. The seating arrangements were as good as they could have been, the Commodore and Victoria Falls Safari Lodge were fantastic and I liked the Fifth Avenue Beach house in Port Elizabeth. I have to say that the Victoria Falls sightseeing trip was the highlight of the whole tour! The accommodation was superb and the days at the Falls and Chobe game park will stay long in the memory.
