  • Day 1

    Check in

    Make your own way to your hotel in Pune where you can check in for the next three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

    Pune is a thriving and vibrant metropolis, that epitomises both the ancient and modern aspects of 'New India.'

  • Day 2

    Pune - Sightseeing

    After breakfast, enjoy a full-day of sightseeing in Pune. Pune is an ever-growing hub of entertainment and technology, and also has a lot to offer in terms of history and culture. On the tour we will visit the Aga Khan Palace, built in 1982, which served as a prison to Mahatma Gandhi and his wife. Shaniwar Wada will be another stop - a fortress built by the first Peshwa Baji Rao.

    In the evening, you are invited to join your Tour Manager and the rest of your group for welcome drinks. This will also be an ideal chance for you to meet your fellow Howzat Travellers.

  • Day 3

    England v Netherlands

    Today see's England take on the Netherlands in Pune.

    After a leisurely morning, board the match-day transfer to the stadium. The game will likely run into the evening, after which the coach will return you to your hotel.

    The stadium was opened in 2012, having missed out on the Cricket World Cup in 2011, when England were the visitors in a T20 international.

  • Day 4

    Pune to Kolkata

    This morning, check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kolkata. On arrival, we will then transfer to the hotel where we will check-in for a four night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

    Kolkata is the third largest city in India and is regarded as India’s intellectual, artistic and cultural capital.

    Kolkata - Sightseeing

    After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing in Kolkata. We will visit the Victoria Memorial - the British Raj's answer to Agra's Taj Mahal. This imposing building contains a collection of Victorian memorabilia, and gives a great insight into the era. Kalighat - a temple to the Goddess Kali (from whom Kolkata derives its name), is another must-see that we will visit.

  • Day 6

    England v Pakistan

    Today see's England take on the Pakistan in Kolkata.

    After a leisurely morning, board the match-day transfer to the stadium. The game will likely run into the evening, after which the coach will return you to your hotel.

    Kolkata - Sightseeing

    After breakfast today, the group departs on a walking tour of Kolkata's iconic monuments and buildings and some local bazaars. This will provide a unique insight into daily life in this multi-faceted city.

    In the evening, we will enjoy a Sunset Cruise along the Hooghly River. The boat departs from Babughat Jetty, sails past the Howrah Railway Station and various heritage sites on the banks of the river.

  • Day 8

    Kolkata to Mumbai

    This morning, check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport with the group for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival, we will then transfer to the hotel where we will check-in for a three night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

    Mumbai is a bustling metropolitan hub on the Arabian Sea. The capital of Maharashtra, this city is overflowing with energy and culture.

    Mumbai - Sightseeing

    After breakfast today, enjoy a narrated sightseeing drive through the bustling streets of Mumbai. The tour will stop for photos at the iconic Gateway of India and the Victoria Terminus, which is the city's central railway station and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will continue along the seaside promenade, visiting Mani Bhavan, which was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi.

    Today see's the first semi-final in Mumbai.

    After a leisurely morning, board the match-day transfer to the stadium. The game will likely run into the evening, after which the coach will return you to your hotel.

England will be hoping that this is a happy hunting ground for him and the rest of the batting line-up. Rebuilt in 2020, and named after the current Prime Minister of India in 2021, the Narendra Modi Stadium is the biggest stadium in the world. England will be hoping to return here for a third time for the final on the 19th November.
