    Check in

    Make your own way to your hotel, where you will be staying for 5 nights on a B&B basis.

    Christchurch is a vibrant city offering spectacular culture and heritage. This evening, join with other tour group members and staff for welcome drinks.

  • Day 2

    Day at Leisure

    A day at leisure to enjoy in Christchurch. The Botanical Gardens in Hagley Park are a great way to experience some of the local flora, or the gondola offers breathtaking views of Christchurch and beyond.

    The Riverside Market in the CBD is also a popular choice, offering plenty of food vendors, unique arts and crafts, and local produce.

    1st T20I

    After breakfast, make your own way to the Hagley Oval for the first game of the series! It's approximately a 25-minute walk to the stadium from our hotel.

    A day to enjoy Christchurch before the 2nd T20I tomorrow.

    Christchurch is a vibrant city offering spectacular culture and heritage. Quake City is a museum that's well worth a visit, encapsulating the impact of the earthquake that occurred here.

    After breakfast, make your own way to the Hagley Oval for the second game of the series! It's approximately a 25-minute walk to the stadium from our hotel.

    Christchurch to Auckland

    It's time to say goodbye to the South Island today as we head to the airport for a flight to Auckland on the North Island. On arrival in Auckland, we will transfer to the hotel for a 3-night stay. 

    Auckland is New Zealand’s most populous city and is a multi-cultural hub of food, music, arts and culture. Also known as Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland sprawls over volcanic hills and around twin harbours, offering an exhilarating mix of natural wonders and urban adventures.

  • Day 7

    Day at Leisure

    Time to explore Auckland.

    Perhaps enjoy the spectacular views and explore the beaches on Waiheke Island, also known as 'the island of wine.' It's a 40-minute ferry journey from Auckland. 

    Stretching your legs at the popular Auckland Domain is a nice way to spend some time. This is the city's oldest park and is built around an extinct volcano.

  • Day 8

    3rd T20I

    Join our transfer today to Eden Park for the final T20I of the series. After the match, the transfer will take you back to our hotel.

    Auckland to Tauranga

    After breakfast, check out of your hotel, and join our transfer to Tauranga. The journey will take approximately three hours. On arrival, check-in for a 3 night stay on a B&B basis.

    Often referred to as the Mount by locals, Mt Maunganui is renowned as one of New Zealand’s top beach resorts and ranks among the top 25 best beaches in the world. Perhaps most iconic is Mount Maunganui, Mauao, which rises 232 meters from the sea. The walking tracks to the top of this extinct volcano provide 360-degree views which span the entire length of the Bay of Plenty.

  • Day 10

    Day at Leisure

    Enjoy a day at leisure in Tauranga. 

    We highly recommend making the effort to hike Mount Maunganui for the stunning panoramic views! If you're looking for a more leisurely day, exploring The Strand Waterfront near our hotel is a good plan of action. There are lots of cafes and restaurants there, with a vibrant atmosphere.

  • Day 11

    1st ODI

    After breakfast, reconvene with the rest of the group and join the transfer to the Bay Oval for the 1st ODI of the series. The Bay Oval is one of our favourite cricket grounds!

    After the game, the coach will take us back to our hotel in Tauranga.

  • Day 12

    Mount Maunganui to Rotorua

    Check out of your hotel in Tauranga this morning and transfer with the group past Lake Rotoiti to Rotorua, where you will be able to check in to your hotel for a 1 night stay on a B&B basis. With a unique thermal and volcanic landscape, living Maori culture, natural hot springs and bubbling mud pools, Rotorua is one of New Zealand’s best-known and most popular destinations. 

    This afternoon, you will then have the opportunity to visit Te Puia and the New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Centre for a guided tour, introducing you to the magnificent geothermal activity in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. This will be followed by an evening Maori dinner experience.

  • Day 13

    Rotorua to Hamilton

    Today we make the short drive (approximately 2 hours) from Rotorua to Hamilton, where we will check in for 2 nights on a B&B basis ahead of the 2nd ODI tomorrow. 

    The city of Hamilton is nestled on the banks of the mighty Waikato River.

    2ND ODI

    With the hotel being a short walk from the ground, make your own way across to Seddon Park for the cricket.

    Joe Root scored 226 here in 2019, fingers crossed his form here continues!

    HAMILTON TO LAKE TAUPO

    After breakfast, we'll check out and begin our journey to Lake Taupo. We will stop on the way at the National Kiwi Hatchery. Here we will learn about Kiwi recovery programmes and how this Hatchery is playing its part in bringing the bird back from the brink of extinction on the New Zealand mainland.

    On arrival in Lake Taupo, check in to your hotel for a one-night stay on a B&B basis.

  • Day 16

    LAKE TAUPO TO WELLINGTON

    Check out of your hotel this morning and jump on the coach to head to Wellington for the last leg of our tour. The journey will take approximately five hours, as we travel south across the Tongariro Volcanic Plateau, passing the volcanoes of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe, then through the Mangaweka Hills and across the Manawatu Plains, down the pretty Kapiti Coast to New Zealand's capital city built on the hills around a magnificent natural harbour. On arrival, check-in for a 2 night stay on a B&B basis.

    Nestled between green hills and a sparkling harbour, Wellington is a vibrant city with a buzzing art, music, theatre and restaurant scene, as well as designer and boutique shopping. Wellington is also home to the New Zealand Parliament and the national museum, Te Papa.

In 1955, England bowled New Zealand out here for their lowest Test score ever, just 26! The pavilion is steeped in tradition, but Eden Park is the biggest stadium in New Zealand. England have never lost a T20I here, with the last one coming in 2019 thanks to a Super Over!

1st ODI - Mount Maunganui

Located on Blake Park in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, the Bay Oval is the home of cricket in the Bay of Plenty. It's a relatively new cricket ground, opened in 2007, and as such England have never played a T20I here. The record for the highest T20I total is 243 - set by New Zealand in 2018 thanks to a 53 ball hundred from Colin Munro.

Recognised as one of the cricket world's best “boutique” grounds, Seddon Park is the home of cricket in Hamilton. Tree-lined grassy banks around two-thirds of the ground give Seddon Park a distinct ‘village green’ feel, and were noted as one of its striking features by influential cricket magazine The Cricketer, which in 2012 rated it as one of the 20 best cricket venues in the world.

3rd ODI - Wellington

An international multi-purpose stadium, the Sky Stadium was opened in 1999 and is used for rugby, football, and cricket. New Zealand Cricket tend to prefer the Sky Stadium over the Basin Reserve for white-ball cricket, given it's larger capacity and suitability for modern amenities. England haven't played here since 2019, when they fell 21 runs short to New Zealand - Tim Southee took Jonny Bairstow's wicket with the first ball of England's innings.
