As part of the tour itinerary your trip will begin with welcome drinks hosted by your Tour Manager and a great time to meet your fellow tourists. Having made your way to the airport, check in, get through security and make your way to the gate to board your direct flight to India.
Upon arrival in Chennai, check in for your domestic flight up to Kolkata. When we arrive in Kolkata, transfer with the group to your hotel where you can check in for your 3 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

In the evening, you are invited to join your Howzat Tour Manager and the rest of your group for welcome drinks. This will also be an ideal chance for you to meet your fellow Howzat Travellers.
This morning, there is the opportunity to see some of Kolkata's famous sights before the cricket. These include the Victoria Memorial - the British Raj's answer to Agra's Taj Mahal. This imposing building contains a collection of Victorian memorabilia, and gives a great insight into the era.
Return to the hotel before joining the rest of the group to transfer to the stadium for the 1st T20 between India and England.
One of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world - Eden Gardens is on every travelling supporters bucket list.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing in Kolkata. Kalighat - a temple to the Goddess Kali (from whom Kolkata derives its name), is a must-see that we will spend some time at, others will include the Howrah Bridge and the Jain temple.

This morning, check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport with the group for your flight to Chennai. On arrival, we will then transfer to the hotel where we will check-in for a three night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
Formerly known as Madras, Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu and is India's fourth largest city.
We will begin the day with a drive along the famous promenade of Marina Beach before continuing to the district of Mylapore, where we will spend some time at St. George's Fort, built by the East India Company in 1640. St. Mary's Church, India's oldest surviving British Church, and the ancient Kapaleeshwarar Temple will wrap things up before the cricket.
Join the rest of the group and transfer to the stadium for the second T20 of England's campaign. This is the first IT20 at Chepauk since 2018, and England's first ever. Both sides will be hoping to start the series strongly, and cricket in India is something to behold!
The game will likely run into the evening, after which the coach will return you to your hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy a day of sightseeing. We will head to Mahabalipuram and visit the Temple on the shore there, overlooking the Bay of Bengal. The Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of the oldest structural stone temples in India. Lunch is included today.

Today we depart Chennai and head north to Darjeeling. We will fly to Bagdogra, and then transfer via coach to Darjeeling (approximately three hours).
West Bengal's premier destination, Darjeeling is surrounded by emerald green tea plantations and is spread across steep mountain ridges. It's an awe-inspiring part of the world, and a great way to break up the intensity of cricket in India.
Dinner is included at the hotel during your stay in Darjeeling.
It's an early start today as we head up to Tiger Hill for the sunrise. On a good day, you can see the horizon change colour and the entire Himalayan range turn golden - truly a majestic sight. We will then return to the hotel for breakfast.
We will also visit the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and the Ghoom Monastery today.

After breakfast, we will visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate - one of the reasons this region is famous. It's a great way to learn about the production of tea, while surrounded by scenic views.

Back to the cricket.
Check out of your hotel this morning and make your way to the airport with the group for our flight to Pune, via Delhi.
On arrival in Pune, we will check-in for a two night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
Pune is a thriving and vibrant metropolis, that epitomises both the ancient and modern aspects of 'New India.'
After breakfast, join the rest of the group and transfer to the stadium for the 4th T20 between India and England. There has been only one IT20 between these two in Pune - it happened in 2012 and resulted in an Indian victory, despite Alex Hales' 56.
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer by coach to Mumbai. The journey will take approximately three and a half hours. On arrival in Mumbai, we will check-in to our hotel for a three night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
Mumbai, the traditional cricket capital of India, is the most populous city in the country and famed for its energy, unique bazaars, hidden temples and India's premier restaurants and nightlife.
Today see's the final game on our trip, as England take on India at the iconic Wankhede.
After a leisurely morning, board the match-day transfer to the stadium.
At the close of play, transfer back to the hotel with the group.
After breakfast today, enjoy a narrated sightseeing drive through the bustling streets of Mumbai. The tour will stop for photos at the iconic Gateway of India and the Victoria Terminus, which is the city's central railway station and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will continue along the seaside promenade, visiting Mani Bhavan, which was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi.

Today we head home (or if you are choosing to stay on we say goodbye at this point). We'll transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK.

The oldest, and arguably most famous cricket stadium in India - Eden Gardens is often referred to as the home of cricket in India. The atmosphere for this game (or in fact any game here) is sure to be raucous, and seeing England play at this iconic stadium will be high on many cricket supporters bucket lists.

More commonly known as Chepauk, the stadium is famed for it’s fascinatingly unbiased and knowledgeable crowd, making for an exhilarating atmosphere. Chepauk hosted it’s first international game in 1934, which England, as visitors, won by 202 runs. Whilst a lot of changes have been made since then, the stadium has retained it’s iconic spirit that travelling supporters will find electrifying.

England have played a T20 here once before, losing out to India in 2012, despite an explosive 56 from Alex Hales at the top of the order. The stadium hosted five games in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, including England v Netherlands, which Howzat were there for. England won that game despite their overall poor performance in the tournament, largely thanks to a Ben Stokes ton and 3 wickets a piece for Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali.

The Wankhede was the venue of the 2011 Cricket World Cup final, when India became the first host country to win on home soil. It was also host to Sachin Tendulkar's emotional farewell to international cricket in 2013. The stadium is steep and imposing, and travelling supporters will certainly be taken aback.
